Shakespeare in the Park 2023: Romeo & Juliet Final Art Reveal
We are so excited to reveal the final art for Shakespeare in the Park 2023 – Romeo & Juliet. Truman Florence, the designer for the playbill, has included color as a symbol to represent the two households — the Montagues and the Capulets. Look for this in the production too! My favorite is the imagery of a starry sky and the stars as part of depicting the star-crossed lovers theme. Thank you Truman- a collector’s item for sure.
Shakespeare Summer Camp 2023
Speaking of the Bard – we are offering three different Summer Camps focusing on Shakespeare this year. First for ages 8-11 is Play Theory in Stories from Shakespeare. Next, for ages 11-14 TNT offers Play Theory Meets the Bard. Finally, Play Theory with Amazing Movement Inspired by Shakespeare is designed for ages 12-16. The camps are scheduled in the month of June after our Shakespeare in the Park 2023 performances. This helps parents capitalize on their children’s interest in Shakespeare after coming to see Romeo & Juliet in the park. The classics really come alive this way and draw connections to real life.
