TNT Announces Summer 2026 Community shows!
Two Community Shows Are Coming To TNT In July 2026
In the past, Take Note Troupe has focused on week-long summer camps for summer programming. We will continue to offer these camps during the month of July, but this year we are adding two performance opportunities! These shows will be open to community members who have never participated in TNT in the past, as well as to returning actors. There will be opportunities for children starting at age 8 through adults!
TNT Presents a new opportunity- a community show for ages 16 and up
We are thrilled to announce that in July 2026 we will be producing an audition-only show that will be open to ages 16 and up. We invite alumni, parents of TNT participants, and other community members to audition! The show will be Peter and the Starcatcher, a play by Rick Elise. All rehearsals and performances will take place in July 2026.
Auditions for this production are scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 at 6:30pm. Consideration will be given to those who are out of the area and who wish to submit a video audition. Video auditions must be received by noon on March 17. Those who are interested in auditioning or in being a part of the production team can fill out this FORM. TNT Presents a summer show for youth ages 8-18
In addition to the community show for ages 16 and up, TNT will also produce a full length musical for ages 8 – 18 during the month of July. Back by popular demand after many years, we will be staging You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown by Charles M. Schulz, Clark Gesner, Michael Mayer, and Andrew Lippa.
The leads will be played by actors ages 14-18, and auditions for these roles will take place on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:30pm. The ensemble will be made up of youth ages 8-14 who sign up for a designated 2 week summer camp to prepare. The ensemble cast will not need to audition prior to camp, but will receive their assignments once the camp begins.
This is an exciting opportunity that TNT has not offered in the past- to be a part of a full length production during the summer months. All rehersals and performances will take place in the month of July. A more detailed rehearsal schedule can be found below. TNT will ALSO offer summer camps in July 2026!
In the summer of 2026, we anticipate offering our summer camps throughout the month of July. The schedule includes week long Play Theory camps for Improv, Shakespeare, and performance and there will be opportunities for ages 8-18 to practice Play Theory and hone their theater skills. These camps do not require auditions and enrollment will open in March 2026.
Come Practice Happiness With TNT This summer in one of our two productions or many summer camps
TNT is far more than a community theater. We are focused on principles of a happiness practice in all that we do. Come join our community, as an actor, a stagehand, a seamstress, a producer… there are so many ways to be a part of this Happiness Movement. Participating in our summer camps and productions will give your summer the happiness boost it needs as we engage together in meaningful, collaborative activities.
Rehearsal and performance information for Peter and the StarCatcher
The cast for Peter and the Starcatcher will begin rehearsing July 13. Rehearsals will be Monday- Thursday evenings from 6-9pm for two weeks followed by tech and dress rehearsals from 6:00pm-10:00pm on July 27, 28, 29. Performances will be July 30, 31, and August 1, 2026. The cast will be expected to have their parts memorized before rehearsals begin. The cost to participate is $400 per actor with opportunities for partial credit if meaningful service is given during summer programming. The cast for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown will follow this schedule:
- Ensemble: July 6-10 from 9am-noon; July 13-15 from 1pm-4pm; July 16 from 1pm-6pm, July 17 from 1pm- performance at 7pm
- Leads: July 6-10 from 1pm-4pm; July 13-15 from 1pm-4pm; July 16 from 1pm-6pm, July 17 from 1pm- performance at 7pm
- Performances will be July 17 at 7pm and two performances on July 18
- The cost to participate is $350 per actor.
Leads will be expected to have their parts memorized before rehearsals begin.
