Shakespeare in the Park

TNT Presents our 16th Year of Shakespeare in the Park:

As You Like It, coming May 24th - June 8th, 2019

Take Note Troupe has been bringing free Shakespeare in the Park productions to the community since 2003. We are committed to making The Bard accessible, engaging, and relevant. How does TNT continue to dish up a fresh interpretation of literature that’s been around for over 400 years? TNT has a magic formula you can read about here.

The more you know, the more there is to love about the Bard--and TNT knows their Bard.  Besides competing many times in the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s National High School competition, we’ve also adapted 6 of his plays and written an original play about his relativity to contemporary high school students called Passing the Bard .

We’ve performed for thousands of Shakespeare enthusiasts and garnered some serious awards.  It’s always delightful to hear generous comments from either surprised first time attendees or the loyal fans who have come for years to enjoy the show.

Shakespeare in the Park 2019 is brought to you in part thanks to a generous grant from the Union Pacific Foundation.

Tickets

Most of our Shakespeare in the Park performances are free in the park and do not require a ticket, however we welcome donations, as these productions are expensive to bring to the public. You should plan to arrive early and bring along low-backed chairs or a picnic blanket and  a jacket, as the evenings can be cool after dark.

Our opening night, May 24th, 2019, will be a benefit performance at the Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center (State Theater). Tickets will be sold through their website and proceeds will benefit the theater's restoration. We have teamed up for many years with the folks at APPAC and support their efforts to keep the arts alive in our community.
