Into the Woods Jr is an edited version of Act 1 of the Broadway show. With themes that focus on learning from our mistakes, working together for a common goal, and having the courage to face a challenge, this show pairs marvelously with our Play Theory principles. Join the cast as we go into the woods together!
Description
- Ages 8-15 (3rd through 9th graders)
- Audition Date/Parent Orientation: Monday, Jan 11 (Parents meeting 45 minutes)
- Rehearsals: Mondays for Casts 1 and 2. Tuesdays if we have a Cast 3.
Additional rehearsals: Saturdays: Feb 6 (11am-2pm), March 6 (11am-2pm), March 20 (11am-2pm); Tech/Dress Rehearsals (as called-not all casts will attend all rehearsals) April 2 (4pm-8pm), April 5 (4pm-9pm), April 6 (4pm-9pm), April 7 (4pm-9pm)
Performance Dates: April 9,10, 16, 17, 23, 24. Each cast will perform at least 3 times. Saturdays will include a matinee and early evening show. Please disclose conflicts no later than the audition date so that we can accommodate.
We anticipate having two or three casts for this production. Casting will be determined after auditions. You will have the opportunity to let us know about conflicts and your schedule in the audition form, which is linked here. Please fill it out as an extra step in the enrollment process.

Families will be expected to provide a base layer, most likely of actor’s black including black shoes, but role-specific instructions will be given after casting.
Concurrent Enrollment: All participants are required to enroll in a Happiness class concurrently. You can read more about these classes and how they will benefit your child here.
