Drawing from British, French, Japanese, and American theater traditions, this three day intensive will give participants the opportunity to approach storytelling through a highly imaginative, physical-first, full-bodied methodology. By introducing basic devised theater techniques, weight-sharing tricks, lifts, and acrobatics to the practice of Play Theory, participants will collaborate to build a short performance from scratch which will be shared with friends and family at the end of the experience.

Drawing from British, French, Japanese, and American theater traditions, this three day intensive will give participants the opportunity to approach storytelling through a highly imaginative, physical-first, full-bodied methodology. By introducing basic devised theater techniques, weight-sharing tricks, lifts, and acrobatics to the practice of Play Theory, participants will collaborate to build a short performance from scratch which will be shared with friends and family at the end of the experience. Please come prepared for physical exertion (warmed up and stretched as needed), wear clothes that allow you to move and sweat, and bring plenty of water, snacks, and an open mind.
