  • Ages 15-18 (10th-12th grade) 
  • Rehearsals: January –  mid April Thursdays 5:00-6:15 pm  (all cast for independent or small sets work) 6:15-9:00pm (all cast)- Thursdays
  • Beginning April 20, Tuesdays from 6:30-9:00pm, Thursdays from 4:30-9:00pm
  • Additional rehearsals: Saturdays: Feb 6 (2-4pm); Mar 13 (1-4pm), May 15 (1-5pm), May 22 (11am-5pm)
  • Audition Dates: Thursday, Jan 7, call backs Jan 8
  • Parent and Participant Orientation: Thursday, Jan 14
  • Tech Week and performance dates: May 17, 18, 20, 24, 25 Tech/Dress
  • Performances: May 26-28 (29 tentative), June 3-5, June 10-12 (June 9 tentative)

Our premier offering for the mainstage, join our 24th annual Shakespeare in the Park. 

Concurrent Enrollment:

Participants are expected to enroll concurrently in one of our Happiness classes unless they have been invited to be a Play Theory coach. Please reach out if you have any questions regarding this skill building requirement in our program. 

Rehearsals:

Attendance at rehearsals is vital and considered mandatory. Please disclose ALL conflicts on your audition form and make every effort to be at every rehearsal, prepared for what we will practice that day. 

We respect your family time and other commitments, but as we only meet once a week for most of the semester (plus occasional Saturdays), missing rehearsal has a big impact on you and others. See the rehearsal schedule included

There will be an orientation on Thursday, Jan 14 at 6:30pm. Parents and participants are expected to attend. The first rehearsal will immediately follow.

Enrollment will open once casting has been determined (after auditions). At that point you need to enroll immediately (within the week) in order to secure your spot and role.

Performances:

Please note that we have 8 performances of Shakespeare in the Park scheduled as well as 2 tentative dates. Please block all of these in our calendar so that you can be prepared if we do add the performances. 

Other Commitments:

Participation in our spring fundraiser, Big Day of Giving, is required of all Shakespeare in the Park participants. Parents are also expected to help during the performances, typically with 4-5 slots over the course of the run. Sign ups will be available about a month before.
