Shakespeare in the Park
Take Note Troupe’s annual Shakespeare performances are a celebrated summer tradition. Hosted by cities in the community each June, these performances offer fresh interpretations that infuse new life into a classic work using engaging storytelling and award winning costuming, staging and direction.
Spring Children’s Theater 2025 – Lion King Jr
Coming April 2025
Take Note Troupe’s production of The Lion King Jr. invites audiences into the heart of the African savanna for a journey of courage, friendship, and destiny. This youth adaptation of Disney’s classic tale follows young Simba as he navigates the challenges of growing up, facing the loss of his father, and reclaiming his rightful place as king. Featuring beloved songs like “Hakuna Matata” and “Circle of Life,” along with colorful characters, this energetic performance captures the magic and lessons of the original story, making it a family-friendly spectacle for all ages.
Performance dates April 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, and 12th. Casting in January 2025. Ticket sales TBA.

SPRING MAINSTAGE 2025 – Much Ado About Nothing
Coming Spring 2025 — Take Note Troupe’s production of Much Ado About Nothing brings William Shakespeare’s beloved romantic comedy to life with wit, humor, and heart. Set against a backdrop of mistaken identities and playful banter, the story follows two contrasting couples: the sharp-tongued Beatrice and Benedick, who are tricked into admitting their love, and the innocent Hero and Claudio, whose relationship is tested by deception. With vibrant characters, clever dialogue, and themes of love, honor, and redemption, this lively performance promises to entertain audiences of all ages. Be our Sponsor at all 10 shows throughout the community! We’ll hang your company’s banner at each venue and include your logo in all our advertising (print and online), as well as tagging your business and using your hashtag on all social media related to Shakespeare in the Park. TNT will create an Instagram REEL featuring your business and share it. You’ll be recognized as the Bard Level Sponsor during announcements at the show and in the printed program. Fall Mainstage 2024 – Disney’s newsies

Newsies by Take Note Troupe is a dynamic musical adaptation of the 1992 Disney film, set in New York City at the turn of the 20th century. The story follows Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a group of teenage “newsies,” who dream of a better life away from the hardships of street life. When newspaper tycoon Joseph Pulitzer raises the prices that newsies must pay for papers, Jack and his fellow newsies rally together to strike, fighting for fair treatment and the right to be heard. The show is filled with energetic dance numbers, powerful performances, and a compelling message about justice and solidarity. Take Note Troupe brings a fresh and passionate energy to this beloved tale, capturing the spirit of youth and the power of standing up for what’s right.
