Based on Brooke Romney’s books Modern Manners for Kids, we’ll talk about some great friendship skills that go hand in hand with Play Theory’s Happiness Skills. Lots of games and role play will make this learning fun!

New to TNT? Start HERE! PLAY THEORY is a positive paradigm, or happiness mindset, consisting of four principles, learned through play. Youth love engaging in these validating, fun activities that cultivate trust, generosity and enthusiasm. Application of PLAY THEORY leads to the creative collaboration that is life, on stage or off. This happiness mindset is essential for later TNT performance. The final class will be a PLAY THEORY workshop for family members. We highly recommend that everyone take this happiness mindset class concurrent with any other PT classes or productions. It can be taken over and over again!
A wonderful introduction to an on-stage experience or lower time commitment than the mainstage for ages 8-11! All participants will learn monologues or scenes and perform in A Dickens of A Christmas while also receiving PLAY THEORY instruction and learning basic theater skills. This class fulfills the Play Theory prerequisite for eligibility to participate in TNT performances. If you are new to TNT, you should also sign up for PLAY THEORY Foundations, but all participants can benefit from taking PLAY THEORY Foundations for maximum practice of Happiness Skills on and off stage.
Come learn to focus on and improve your acting skills as we apply the principles of Play Theory. Whether you take this as a stand alone class or use it to get better prepared for one of our productions, this class will help you with character development, objectives, awareness of blocking patterns, and more.
An opportunity for participation in a TNT mainstage production while practicing PLAY THEORY. All participants learn musical numbers to perform while also receiving PLAY THEORY instruction and learning basic theater skills. They will be a part of the ensemble of our fall show. The tech week and performance schedule is rigorous. Participants must have previous TNT experience (summer camps or PLAY THEORY classes). All participants in our mainstage production are required to take another PLAY THEORY class concurrently. Please read about Premiere Performance Teams here.
Willy Wonka Jr. — A wonderful introduction to an on-stage experience! All participants learn musical numbers to perform while also receiving PLAY THEORY instruction and learning basic theater skills. Participants are HIGHLY encouraged to take Foundations in Play Theory or another PT class concurrently. Those new to TNT are required to take an additional PLAY THEORY class in order to participate.
Applying Play Theory principles when playing board games and card games can truly amp up the fun! Join this weekly club and have some fun playing games together, socializing, and using Play Theory to learn how to have better sportsmanship and how to have fun even when you’re not the one winning the game!
