Play Theory in Performance – It’s a Small World for High School
Come learn and practice Play Theory while we prepare for a showcase performance of an original production, “It’s a Small World”.
This class will focus on Play Theory as well as learning a few numbers for our It’s a Small World recital performance, which will be combined with the other age groups. Play Theory is our foundational method and teaching, practicing, and sharing Play Theory is the focus of our mission. At this time we anticipate that performances would be at Love of Learning (in our rehearsal space). They will be ticketed events.
*Note* Participants in this class will also have the opportunity to be in the ensemble of Twelfth Night, our Shakespeare in the Park performance. There will be some dances learned for Shakespeare during this rehearsal time, and for this class rehearsals will continue after Small World is over. Email email@example.com for more information.
Class meets Tuesdays beginning January 18th from 4 pm-6 pm at our rehearsal space inside Love of Learning. (Note this date has been altered due to sick coaches during the planned first week).
There will be no class on Tuesday, February 22.
Performances would be Friday March 25th, Saturday March 26th and possibly Monday March 28th if an additional performance is needed (dependent on enrollment and venue). There will be a tech/dress rehearsal on Tuesday, March 22 from 4-8pm.
We are vendored with South Sutter Charter School. If you are using SS funds, please contact Michelle Romero or email firstname.lastname@example.org for information on how to sign up in a timely manner.
