Press Release: Take Note Troupe Presents Holiday Musical

Take Note Troupe, Placer County’s award-winning theatre company, is pleased to present Scrooge the Musical, based on the holiday classic by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, and with music, lyrics, and book by Leslie Bricusse. TNT’s magical interpretations delight audiences and are community favorites. Whether it be original plays, beloved musicals, or the award-winning Shakespeare in the Park performances, TNT’s creative, innovative, and high quality productions bring a professionalism to the stage that is unusual for youth productions, all while helping young people in our community develop powerful and positive life skills while serving others.

“This delightful family show will bring light and Christmas Spirit to your holiday season,” said Director LaRee Florence. “Our cast will sing and dance and share the message that it is never too late for a change of heart, that family and love are worth sacrificing for, and that looking outward to bring joy to others brings even greater joy to our own lives.”


At each performance, TNT will  be collecting non-perishable food items for the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet for local families in need.



Performances will be at the historic State Theater in Auburn, 985 Lincoln Way ( Evening shows will be at 7pm on November 30th, December 5-8th and matinees on December 1 at 1pm, and December 8 at 2pm. Tickets are available on Featuring more than 45 young people ages 8 to 18 from all over Placer County, this production includes harmonious singing, lively dance numbers, and beautiful period costumes.

Founded in 2003 by LaRee Florence, Take Note Troupe is group of committed adults and young people striving to “change the world for the better, one participant and performance at a time.” During the past 15 years, TNT has mentored hundreds of youth and served thousands more in the community through uplifting productions, PLAY THEORY workshops, and award-winning adaptations of Shakespeare.
