Award winning Take Note Troupe presents “Passing the Bard”

Comedic plays that inspire, educate, and leave you feeling great can be rare, so we wrote our own. This means you haven’t heard of it, but after seeing it, you’ll be telling everyone you know all about it. In this original production, engaging characters consider if Shakespeare matters. Joe thinks it’s all a bunch of hype until he’s forced to take his English Lit presentation more seriously or miss out on playing in the big football game. When he asks the school brain, Aaron with an “A”,  for help, he learns more than he bargained for:  lessons of life, love, and the value of friendship. Tucked in between the humorous characters and nods to all of Shakespeare’s plays is an important message about the power of acceptance and friendship that our current world needs to hear.

Public Performances January 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th. Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center Auburn
