GOVERNING BOARD of DIRECTORS

  • PRESIDENT

    Charles Davis

"As a parent of TNT youth for many years, I have seen first hand the value of the principles taught through Play Theory and the dedication and service to the community that is instilled in the youth participating. I serve on the board for two reasons: to contribute to that dedication and service in some small way and to help ensure that TNT thrives to provide this opportunity to youth in the future. Thank you for your participation in and support of TNT."

  • DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

    LaRee Florence

"TNT’s origins began with a simple request in 2003 to ‘teach us about Shakespeare.’ Believing that each individual has the ability to change the world through their outlook and actions, I knew theater could be used for more than performing. It could be a tool in developing the whole individual. Artistic Director is fulfilling for me because I see Play Theory and TNT working together to be a positive force in each participant's life. "

  • DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

    McKay Florence

McKay Florence is a real estate investor and enthusiastic supporter of the arts in the Sacramento Region. He has had five children participate in Take Note Troupe over the years. McKay says, "I participate on the Board of Take Note Troupe because I value the positive impact it has had in the lives of hundreds of participants over the years and the quality of theater arts TNT produces for the community."

  • GENERAL BOARD MEMBER

    Angie Gardner

"There was something different about my students this time…they were attentive, helpful, encouraging, grateful, and happy. As I grew to know each individual during our class sessions, I discovered their positive paradigms were influencing, not only myself and our classroom, but the school community itself. When I discovered that they were all a part of Take Note Troupe, I Googled to learn more. TNT's Vision, Mission Statement, and PLAY THEORY explained what I had observed. I wanted to be a part of this group."

  • SECRETARY

    Michelle Romero

"Everyone only has so much time to 'give away'. I volunteer with TNT because it is dedicated to building the individual. Its mission, accomplished with Play Theory principles as its foundation, brings out the skills and talents of the participant, provides leadership opportunities, and develops their positive, generous mindset leading to a pattern of service in their lives. TNT changes lives. An amazing return for someone who keeps records. "

  • DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

    Michal Thomas

"I spend my precious free time on TNT because I have seen it change people. In a world where so many teens feel isolated, hopeless, anxious, or insecure, TNT and PLAY Theory shine a light on the path to happiness. As youth embrace PLAY Theory, they become generous, thoughtful, cheerful, accepting people who make the world a better place. I am privileged to be a part of that."

  • DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS

    Danielle Rossetti

"Take Note Troupe's vision to develop positive life skills to all of the youth that go through the program has also been a blessing in my own life. Helping facilitate that in any way I can gives purpose to the gift of dance I was given. I continue to be amazed by the alumni with the talents they share with the world. Volunteering for this program has surrounded me with incredibly intelligent, thoughtful and inspiring individuals. I am filled with gratitude to have the opportunity to participate in a program that changes lives for the better."

  • Community Outreach Specialist

    Jane Dildine

"I love working with TNT because I am the middle man – I connect people who have a passion about making a difference with a cause they care about. I get to bring this amazing program to the community, and help our program grow. I get to use Play Theory principles every day. "Say Yes And", "Look Outward"... just to name a few. Every time I find the organization or person that sees the value of what TNT does, we get to parallel our passion of making a difference. I encourage everyone who sees the value of what TNT does to find a way to support it so that it can be a sustainable program far into the future."

  • Program Specialist

    Michelle Scribner

"Keeping this amazing team organized is my cup of tea. With all this creativity and inspiration bursting in everyone else, I bring the boring parts together. With a background in business and personal strengths in organization and efficiency, my joy is creating the schedules and filling out the forms and communicating all the details so that TNT can continue to make a difference in the lives of the kids we serve."
